It's a hugely exciting time here at Blaby District Council as we embark on a journey to develop, implement and run our own ‘in-house’ IT service.

We are currently undertaking a once in a generation technology acceleration, and as we design this service, we are making the best use of cloud technologies, automation efficiencies and accessible IT security and management frameworks to be at the forefront in local government IT.

Acting as a key enabler for these approaches is our IT function. You would be joining Team Blaby during a period where you would be at the sharp end of the council’s digital transformation. You would be an integral part of a forward-thinking team, supporting a programme of diverse and complex projects across everything from refuse and recycling to human resources.

As Blaby sprints forward into an exciting new era of digital empowerment, our IT team will be central to bringing innovation and creativity into our systems and solutions. A critical part of this digital revolution will be the ongoing training available to our IT team, to ensure we not only are on the cutting edge but are upskilled to stay there too.

ICT Operations Manager

How would you like to come and form your own ICT service?

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic ICT Operations Manager to lead the Service Delivery and Infrastructure team within the IT Operations service. This role involves transitioning from a legacy setup to a modern hybrid environment and constructing the team, processes, and technical strategy with the support of experienced colleagues.

Salary: Scale 7 £42,403 - £45,441
