Appeals

If you are the applicant you are eligible to appeal if a decision on a planning application hasn't been made in the required amount of time (between eight or 13 weeks), or you are not satisfied with the decision we have made.

The Planning Inspectorate is the authority to process all planning and planning enforcement appeals.

If an appeal is allowed the development can proceed; if it is dismissed our decision will stand.

Appeals can take several months to decide and they can be costly. Before considering an appeal, please contact the Case Officer that dealt with your application to see whether any changes to your proposal could make it more acceptable.
