Ground investigation works

You may notice activity on land off South Drive, Stoney Stanton towards the end of the month. 

The land is being sold to Morro Partnerships, who are proposing to deliver affordable homes on the site. A planning application is expected to be submitted later this year. 

As part of this early stage, you may notice machinery on site while ground investigation works take place. These are routine surveys used to understand ground conditions and will involve drilling a number of small boreholes. Once samples have been taken, the boreholes will be safely refilled. 

The work is scheduled to take place from Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 June, between 8am and 5pm, and is expected to be completed within these three days. The site will remain accessible during this time.
